Frans Bouma on .net rocks
The epsisode of .net rocks of may 31st features Frans Bouma, the creator of llblgen, Object Relations Mapper for .net. We use llblgen at work for our latest project, so it was especially interesting to hear him talk about ORM in general, and software development. At the moment, llblgen takes an existing database (so you have to design that first) and then creates DLLs for you. Apparently they are now working on a model similar to nHibernate, where you create the objects and their relations first and let that create the database. Should be very interesting and that might make it easier to migrate databases.
